“What’s this?”

I’d been curled up on my couch since the sun rose. Devon had woken with me, come down and made us both a coffee before heading back to bed for sleep. I assumed he’d headed back to his room because the bed we all shared had more talking than sleeping.

Not the crazy fuck-fest I’d imagined.

We’d talked and become closer. The four of us. Comfortable enough that Trent stayed the night in the bed. We’d tried sleeping nose to nose, with Devon behind me, until Devon growled that he’d never get any sleep like that. I rolled Trent over, spooning him and then Chase got between me and Devon. With Chase spooning me, Devon rolled away, and we all pretended to sleep.

For one night only, we didn’t need sex to be intimate.

And today was another day. Waking before the others, my poker prowess had already cleaned out a table of willing donors to my financial future.

Now with my men starting to join me, the world seemed safer. The weight of my secrets had been shared.

This time yesterday, I thought I couldn’t love Trent, Chase, or Devon more than I already did. Today, I knew differently.

“Gonna tell me what’s going on?” Jax emerged from his bedroom upstairs. One he slept in alone. While we’d been four to a bed, Jax hadn’t been invited. Turning up just before midnight, his presence was tolerated, but he couldn’t begin to understand what had happened in the ten hours he’d been gone.

Even after a night being loved by three men, I was out of words. Luckily, Devon covered it all with, “Shit happened, need to know basis and you don’t.”

“Going back to my original question, what’s this?” I asked as three pairs of hands lowered the large box onto my lap.

Trent was freshly showered, his wet hair dripping down his bare chest. Navy blue board shorts asking to be removed at some point today. Devon was back to his cameo muscle shirt and black football shorts. Chase, a pair of tight blue jeans and a smile.

My men.

My sexy as hell men who would follow me into my own hell, just to make sure I survived.

“What do you think?” Trent asked as I stroked the black glossy paper and played with the bright pink satin ribbon.

“For me?”

“Unless there’s another dirty blonde living here. We were going to give it to you yesterday or last night, but—”

I nodded. Understanding.

“Is anyone going to tell me what happened here yesterday?” While Jax’s words hung in the air, the other three men shared a glance. “Is anyone going to tell me what the fuck happened?”

“Not our secret to tell,” Devon said easily.

“It’s not a secret, I guess the four of us had a moment,” I tried to explain.

“Will you tell Xavier about this fucking moment?”

“If I do, it’s up to me, my secret, my choice.”

“Though you said it wasn’t a secret?” Jax asked, waiting for one of us to continue before shrugging, “Fine, as long as you’re okay?”

Seriously, I could handle Jax being an asshole, but when he turned nice, I almost melted.
